Meldrum & Daviot Curling Club was established in 1947. Our home curling rink is the fantastic facility that is Curl Aberdeen, which is located on the Lang Stracht, Aberdeen.
M&D is a club with a wide range of curling ability ranging from beginners to world champions. Our club's age range is vast ranging from 12 years old through to 80, and we have a great social aspect to the curling club too with bonspiels, club nights out and end of season prize-giving.
We have two friendly rivalries in Haddo House (Local) and Markinch (Social) which are competitions played for every season in the Haddo Challenge and Mounie Trophy.
Internal competitions are competed for with usually 5 or 6 rinks, each rink consisting of 6 players. We have the M&D League which is the main competition, the James Bissett League(which players rotate every two ends), The Knock-Out (the seeding for this is determined by the league standings), Singles and Doubles (played to Mixed Doubles rules).
Externally M&D are usually well represented usually competing for the Province League Title and nationally at the National Rink & National Province Championships.
